An out of control mini-van barrels right through some parked cars Saturday afternoon, before hitting and killing a mother as she walked with her daughter. Philadelphia police are wondering how did it happen. Witnesses say the speeding car came out of nowhere, first hitting parked cars several blocks off Passyunk Avenue, barreling through traffic and street lights and finally, a woman walking with her daughter. It’s what the mother did in the last seconds of her life that neighbors say makes the tragedy all the more gut wrenching.
