A man is accused of fatally stabbing his father in the Philadelphia suburbs and taking out one of the 74-year-old victim's eyeballs. Montgomery County prosecutors allege 30-year-old Preston Lonnberg-Lane used a butter knife to stab Thomas Lane in the head, neck and arm in their Lansdale home on March 27.

Police say three people have been arrested after a woman was shot and killed during a theft involving her tax return money in Wilkinsburg. According to a criminal complaint, the woman, Keiauna Davis, was killed by Dane Taylor during a theft at the 1700 block of Laketon Road. Taylor was in a car being driven by Kaijin Scott. The third suspect not in the car at the time was Laya Whitley.
State police have identified the man who, they said, tried to force his way into a home in August 2016. DNA from a blood sample matched Herbert Warner Ross, 39, formerly of Buena Vista, Pennsylvania.
