A man is accused of fatally stabbing his father in the Philadelphia suburbs and taking out one of the 74-year-old victim's eyeballs. Montgomery County prosecutors allege 30-year-old Preston Lonnberg-Lane used a butter knife to stab Thomas Lane in the head, neck and arm in their Lansdale home on March 27.

Authorities said one person is dead and four others, including three firefighters, are injured after a fire ripped through a row home in North Philadelphia. Flames broke out around 9 a.m. on Saturday and quickly grew to a two-alarm fire.

A 5-year-old boy was injured in a fire in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The fire started around 3 a.m. Sunday on the 2700 block of C Street. When firefighters arrived they found heavy flames shooting out of the back of the house.
