A man is accused of fatally stabbing his father in the Philadelphia suburbs and taking out one of the 74-year-old victim's eyeballs. Montgomery County prosecutors allege 30-year-old Preston Lonnberg-Lane used a butter knife to stab Thomas Lane in the head, neck and arm in their Lansdale home on March 27.
Carlisle: Police are investigating the shooting death of Rhyheim Hodge, 35. Hodge was shot and killed shortly after 3:00pm Sunday afternoon on the 100 block of West College Street
Loyalsock Township: One person is dead after what appears to be a deadly shooting in Lycoming County. State police were called to Poco Farm Road near Williamsport around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Chester: A shooting victim managed to crawl out of a car after it flipped over and burst into flames just two blocks from a Delaware County hospital. Police say the victim was shot around 2:40 a.m. Sunday at 4th and Highland streets in Chester.

The former mayor of a borough in Schuylkill County is dead at age 23, but state officials have yet to release the cause of death. County Deputy Coroner Albert Barnes tells The (Pottsville) Republican-Herald he pronounced Brandon Wentz dead at about 8 a.m. Thursday. Barnes says the next of kin has been notified, but he cannot provide further comment, as requested by state police.
Police confirm two people were shot and killed in Harrisburg. It happened along the 2200 block of Logan Street, according to Dauphin County 911. Police were called to the scene for a report of a shooting around 5 p.m. Harrisburg Police say officers were first called to the area to check on a medical problem.

Authorities say a Pennsylvania man strangled a woman and then broke her neck, poked her eyes out and beat her with a hatchet after she rejected his marriage proposal.
Crews were called to a water main break in the Strip District early Thursday. The incident happened along 22nd Street near the intersection of Smallman Street.
Penn Township: police said two women attacked and robbed their friend after a sleepover. Police said the two were supposed to be taking the victim home, when they stopped along Meadowbrook Road. After they assaulted her, police said, they then left her in the middle of the street.
