A two-alarm fire damaged a vacant apartment building in Pottstown, Montgomery County. The blaze broke out at 1 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Beech Street. Crews arrived to find flames shooting from the second floor of the building.
Fire damaged twin homes in Darby Borough, Delaware County. It broke out at 2:30 a.m. Thursday in 100 block of Fern Street. Action News is told flames engulfed the second floor of one home then spread to the attached house.
Allegheny County police confirm the suspect in a standoff in Churchill was shot twice by officers and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The man's condition is unknown at this time. Police said the standoff started after a woman ran out of the suspect's home shortly after 4:00 p.m. saying she had been assaulted by someone inside the home.
Swatara Township Police are investigating a fight that broke out during dismissal on Wednesday at Steelton-Highspire High School. Officers from the Steelton Borough Police Department entered the school for a meeting regarding a mentor program. They were immediately met by school officials who alerted them of a large fight on the side entrance of the building
A man is facing charges for allegedly stabbing the driver of a pickup truck in a dispute over driving directions. According to police, the incident happened Monday along State Route 22/30 in Robinson Township, Washington County around 11:40 p.m.
