A man is accused of fatally stabbing his father in the Philadelphia suburbs and taking out one of the 74-year-old victim's eyeballs. Montgomery County prosecutors allege 30-year-old Preston Lonnberg-Lane used a butter knife to stab Thomas Lane in the head, neck and arm in their Lansdale home on March 27.
Philadelphia: Three men are hospitalized after being shot outside a North Philadelphia bar. It happened shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday on the 3300 block of North 3rd Street. Police found more than a dozen bullet casings and a damaged truck that crashed on the scene.
Pittsburgh: Police have identified the suspect in the fatal shooting of a New Kensington police officer. Police say 29-year-old Rahmael Sal Holt has been identified as the person who shot and killed 25-year-old Officer Brian Shaw on Friday night. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Philadelphia: Police are investigating a fatal shooting in West Philadelphia Saturday evening. It happened around 6 p.m. at 52nd Street near Girard Avenue. According to police, a man was shot in the chest then crashed his mini-van into a hair salon.
Penn Hills: Two men are facing charges after a man was fatally shot in Penn Hills late Saturday morning.

Dauphin County: Police have confirmed that an arrest has been made in the double homicide of Harrisburg stepsisters. Police Chief Thomas Carter has confirmed that a suspect was arrested Thursday morning and is facing charges for the killings. The arrest came after a search warrant was executed in the 1600 block of North Street in Harrisburg’s Allison Hill section of the city.
West Chester: Massive flames from a Pennsylvania nursing home shot into the sky Thursday night. CBS Philadelphia reports firefighters were called just before 11 p.m. to Barclay Friends Nursing Home in West Chester. At least 20 people were injured in the five-alarm blaze. All injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Philadelphia: A shooting victim crashed into a parked car. Police say a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg while he was in the driver's seat of a Buick. He crashed along the 6400 block of Tulip Street late Wednesday night.
Philadelphia police are investigating a death in the city's Port Richmond section. The grim discovery was made around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday inside a home on the 2500 block of E. Lehigh Avenue. Initial reports say an 80-year-old man was found dead inside the kitchen with lots of blood inside the property. Police said trails of blood ran through the first and second floors of the house.

Sharon Hill: A motorcyclist was injured after a crash involving a school bus in Sharon Hill, Delaware County. It happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday at Chester Pike and Brainerd Boulevard.
West Chester: A multi-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in West Chester Twp. resulted in a fatality and left several people with serious injuries. Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said the crash occurred just before 3 p.m. at the busy intersection of Cox Road and Liberty Way.

Bristol Township: Police said two drivers on I-95 were involved in a road rage incident that ended in gunfire Monday evening. It happened just before 5 p.m., while the two cars were exiting the highway onto Route 413 in Bristol Township
Youngwood: State police on Monday confirmed that they were investigating a homicide in Youngwood, Westmoreland County, but very few details were released. Matthew Genaro, 50, was found dead at a home on Wineman Lane at about 10 p.m. Friday, according to a police statement.
Parks Township: Investigators are searching for a gunman after a man and woman were fatally shot inside a home in Armstrong County on Monday afternoon. Their bodies were discovered around 3:30 p.m. at a home on the corner of West Fifth and Lincoln Streets, near the Uncle Charley’s Sausage Plant in Parks Township, right outside of Vandergrift.
