A man is accused of fatally stabbing his father in the Philadelphia suburbs and taking out one of the 74-year-old victim's eyeballs. Montgomery County prosecutors allege 30-year-old Preston Lonnberg-Lane used a butter knife to stab Thomas Lane in the head, neck and arm in their Lansdale home on March 27.
Philadelphia: police have made an arrest in the stabbing of a Port Richmond man. Patricia Diocson, 21, is charged with murder and possession of an instrument of crime after police said she stabbed her grandfather, 80-year-old Robert Girard, more than 40 times.
Stowe Township: Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting in Stowe Township. Allegheny County 911 was called at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday with a report of a shooting at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Mancini Way, according to the county.

New Kensington: man accused of fatally shooting a rookie police officer in western Pennsylvania is in custody. The Pennsylvania State Police on Tuesday announced the apprehension of 29-year-old Rahmael Sal Holt. Details of the arrest are to be released in a news conference later Tuesday.

Wilkins Township: A body was found in a creek near the 1000 block of Lougeay Road in Wilkins Township around 2 p.m. Monday, officials said. Emergency crews found an unresponsive man who was declared dead on the scene, officials said.
Williamsport: A man from Philadelphia is locked up in connection with a deadly shooting in Lycoming County. Jameir Hines, 23, of Philadelphia was arrested. He faces charges including criminal homicide

Philadelphia: Three men are hospitalized after being shot outside a North Philadelphia bar. It happened shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday on the 3300 block of North 3rd Street. Police found more than a dozen bullet casings and a damaged truck that crashed on the scene.
