In Delaware County, Chester police are investigating the city's 28th homicide of the year. 18-year-old Julian Deshields was found lying in the street at 9th Street and Keystone Road just before 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A 4-year-old girl is in the hospital after being shot in a drive-by shooting in Southwest Philadelphia. Police say the girl's father was the intended target. The young girl is currently in stable condition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Law enforcement officers in Pennsylvania have shot and killed a gunman who fired at police in several locations in Harrisburg, the state capital. Authorities say 51-year-old Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty fired at a Capitol police officer around 4 p.m. Friday and then at a Pennsylvania state trooper a short while later. He was killed during a shootout with local and state police. Authorities say he was armed with two handguns, believed to be 9 mm weapons.

Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico has identified the shooter as Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty, 51. Marsico said if anyone has any information about El-Mofty, they should call 911. El-Mofty has ties to the Middle East and recently traveled there.

Police say one of the victims from a shooting incident in Southwest Philadelphia Thursday night has died. 23-year-old man died early Friday morning from his wounds.
State police served a search warrant at a home in Moxham Tuesday as they investigate the death of James Smith and Damien Staniszewski. However, Troopers said the man living there now has no connection to the double homicide case. They did not provide more details on why they went to that particular home.
Police are investigating a shooting in Chester, Delaware County. It happened at 8:50 a.m. Thursday at 9th and Engle streets. Officers responded to the scene and found a teenage boy who had been shot in the chest.
Fire was allegedly set in retaliation after a fight at a Penn Hills bar. According to court documents, when Martell Smith and Tiasia Malloy were arrested, the smelled of gasoline.
A police K9 for the Greencastle, Franklin County, police department was hit and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday morning. The department released the following statement:

Philadelphia: Authorities say a man who was selling sneakers in a Philadelphia park was shot multiple times during an apparent robbery. The shooting occurred around 10:15 a.m. Sunday in FDR Park in Philadelphia. The 34-year-old victim was shot in the face, chest, and hand and remained hospitalized Monday in critical condition.
The coroner has been called to a fire in Williamsport. Officials confirm a woman did not make it out alive. Flames hit the right side of a double block home on Poplar Street around 9 p.m. Sunday. Fire crews are still on the scene, and police tape is up around the block.
