Two people, including an off-duty Philadelphia police officer, were found dead in a Port Richmond home Monday afternoon, authorities say. Philadelphia police confirm a female Philadelphia police officer and a man were found dead inside a home on the 2900 block of Mercer Street.
Pennsylvania state police have released new images in hopes of identifying a woman found dead in a Delaware County state park. The new facial reconstruction images were released on Monday. The remains were found in January 2016 in a wooded area along a trail in Ridley Creek State Park.
A 71-year-old man was found dead inside his Point Breeze North home after fire crews and police were called out to a two-alarm fire Monday afternoon, according to officials. The victim was later identified as Steven Pariser. Officials have also confirmed another man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His name was not released.
Firefighters battled a blaze at a Waste Management facility in the Tacony section of Philadelphia. The blaze broke out at 12 a.m. Monday in the 5100 block of Bleigh Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a garage.
Police are searching for a man wanted for reportedly firing shots inside a racquet club in Bucks County. The shooting happened around 6 p.m. Saturday inside the Pennsbury Racquet and Athletic Club in the 300 block of West Trenton Avenue in Falls Township. According to the club, a youth boxing event fundraiser was taking place at the time.
Police are investigating damage to a statue of the Pennsylvania State University mascot. Authorities were called to the university around 4 a.m. Sunday to reports of damage to the Nittany Lion Shrine. Police say an ear on the right side of the statue was broken off and found nearby.
Two people are dead following a shooting late Sunday in New Castle. Police are calling the incident at 844 Franklin Avenue a double homicide. Someone called 9-1-1 after hearing a gunshot at around 10 pm near Paul Street.
Police say three people have been arrested after a woman was shot and killed during a theft involving her tax return money in Wilkinsburg. According to a criminal complaint, the woman, Keiauna Davis, was killed by Dane Taylor during a theft at the 1700 block of Laketon Road. Taylor was in a car being driven by Kaijin Scott. The third suspect not in the car at the time was Laya Whitley.
A crash left a hole in the side of a building in Scranton. Police say a pickup truck collided with the building on the corner of Prospect Avenue and Birch Street.
Three people were injured in a crash on I-95 near Philadelphia International Airport. The collision happened shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday on I-95 in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police say a woman allegedly behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle struck an officer in Philadelphia Saturday evening. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the 3100 block of Reach Street in the city's Kensington section.
Homicide charges have been filed against three people accused of shooting and killing a young mother in Wilkinsburg Thursday afternoon. Warrants were filed late Friday for Laya Alana Whitley, Dane James Taylor, and Kaijin Xavier Scott.

Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for rape and aggravated assault, among other offenses, in Port Richmond. Hasan Harold, of Napa Street, was charged in connection with the incident that reportedly occurred on Tuesday, February 20 on the 3000 block of Aramingo Avenue.
Shots were fired and two people were pistol-whipped during a violent home invasion in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. Police were called around 4 a.m. Wednesday to the 200 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard for the reports of gunshots.

An SUV hit and killed a pedestrian on Washington Road (Route 19) in Peters Township, Washington County, on Monday night. The coroner said the victim was struck in the southbound lane near 4150 Washington Rd. at about 7:50 p.m. and was pronounced dead at Canonsburg Hospital about an hour later.
