Officers from the 39th District responded to a report of a person shot at 4100 Germantown Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old Black male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right ankle. The officer transported the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he was placed in stable condition.
The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday, June 21st, 2024, at approximately 10:39 pm. The incident took place on the 700 block of Poplar Street. A 47-year-old Black female was shot once in the chest. Responding Philadelphia Housing Police transported the victim to Jefferson Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:58 pm.
Fatal Crash—600 Godfrey Avenue. PHILADELPHIA – A 29-year-old Black male driver died early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash in the Northwest section of the city. At approximately 12:52 am, a green 2005 Mazda 6 traveling eastbound on the 600 block of Godfrey Avenue lost control and veered off the roadway, striking a tree. The driver, 29-year-old Karon Baron Montgomery of Philadelphia, was pronounced at the scene by PFD Medics at 1:05 am.
