One person was killed in a Monday night Harrisburg shooting and police are investigating
Fatal crash occurred on the 60XX Penrose Avenue (Platt Memorial Bridge), in the 12th District. A black 2024 black BMW X4 was traveling eastbound on the Platt Bridge when the operator lost control of the vehicle and flipped over into the westbound lanes, making contact with 2014 black Toyota Camry.
Philadelphia Police responded to a person with a weapon on the 43XX block of Lauriston Street, in the 5th District. An 18-year-old female suffered a stab wound to the right hand. PFD-Medic Unit transported the victim to Roxborough Memorial Hospital, where she was placed in stable condition.
Fatal auto versus pedestrian incident occurred on the 66XX block of Regent Street, in the 12th District. The driver of the Saturn SUV was attempting to back down a one way street when she lost control of the vehicle sending it into a tailspin. The vehicle then struck the pedestrian who was standing on the sidewalk. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries from the impact.
SWAT officers have taken the female into custody. Animal Care & Control has taken a pit bull left inside the apartment. The actor will be taken to the ACJ on a criminal warrant. A shooting occurred at 10XX N Delaware Ave, in a local casino parking lot, at approximately 12:03 PM. A 37-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower legs and was transported by police to Jefferson Hospital in Center City, where he is currently in critical condition. The scene is being held, and no weapon has been recovered. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group.
A stabbing took place around 5:00 a.m. near the 4700 block of D Street. A 20-year-old female sustained a stab wound to the neck and arrived at St. Christopher’s Hospital by private vehicle.
On October 16, 2024, at 8:38 PM, officers from the 25th District responded to a call reporting a "Person with a Gun" at a restaurant located on the 800 block of W. Erie Avenue. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a male, later identified as 34-year-old Reginald Jones, had suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported by private ambulance to Temple University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 8:53 PM. Preliminary investigations reveal that the decedent was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male prior to the shooting.
