Officers from the 15th District, along with Fire Department units, responded to a house fire at 71XX Montague Street, initially reported as "Local People Trapped." Upon arrival, smoke was observed coming from the garage and interior of the house. Firefighters rescued a male and female from the residence and attended to their medical needs.
29-year-old female was stabbed once in the right calf by a known individual inside a residence on the 3200 block of Unruh Street. She was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by Medic 17 and is currently in stable condition. No apprehensions have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing with Northeast Detectives.
