6 months ago A 70-year-old man died in a house fire late Saturday night in North Philadelphia.
Police and fire crews responded to a 911 call reporting a fire at 16xx Fontain Street at approximately 10:43 p.m. The Philadelphia Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire by 11:08 p.m. Upon extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered the body of a 70-year-old Black male inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:10 p.m.
